I was reading something about this in another thread, but don't quite get it. When listing your site in directories or getting links from other sites, should they be using http://www before your site name, or just www? Does it matter?

It makes no difference as long as the server it points to 301 redirects one of them to the other.
Strong with this one, the sudo is.

I am not that familiar with 301 redirects. Is there a good simple source to explain this to me?

What it is -- http://www.w3.org/Protocols/rfc2616/rfc ... #sec10.3.2

Notes for Apache (common Linux webserver; also available on Windows)

Notes for IIS (common Windows webserver)
Strong with this one, the sudo is.

These are simple enough. Thanks!
