Hi guys,

I currently have a domain example .com which has a domain alias set up as example1 .com. As it's an alias the content on both is exactly the same. There is in fact about ten aliases but for this example I'll keep it as one.

I have been looking into this matter and, correct me if i'm wrong here, because both contain exactly the same content there is a chance Google's duplicate content filter will 'penalize' example .com (my main site)?

I was wondering if anyone had any experiences with this and if it's better to set example1 .com up as it's own domain and add a 310 redirect to it's .hataccess file?

Thanks in advance,

Yes, it is a much safer option to do a 301 redirect from the auxiliary sites.
