Hi,

Does anyone know where Google stands on companies owning many domain names? We have quite a few domain names, most of which relate to the company name but some relate to the product we sell. These domain names forward to the related product on our website but we do not use the name to mask our own and gain higher rankings.

I thought Google only punished the use of masking and not the use of forwarding a domain name, does anyone know if this is correct?

Thanks

I don't think Google will punish anyone for either of these reasons. The company i work for has about 5 domains all pointing to the same site. And we hold on to the top spot in several searches.
