love the speed and simplicity, definitely keeping this one. Although I'll still stick to FF as my main browser until this tests out of beta

Right now speed is not an issue but later if more and more users use this, possible that this will also slow down.

Why do you say that ... I don't think so ... it's not running on an online server ... it's running locally ... for that to happen every PC in the world needs to become slower ... imo.

Hello Fellow Ozzu members,

Why do you think google released their web browser "Google Chrome". What are their intentions and what made them to produce their own web browser? I've shared my thoughts and opinions on this topic at the link below.

In the interest of saving my computer from another web browser, i will hold back from downloading this for the moment until the beta stages are over.

I have been jumping about from FF to Opera to Safari, back to FF and now Safari in the last few months and it's beginning to get a bit frustrating not settling with one. I love FF, but it has been too problematic of late hence why i have been using Safari as my main browser as i've had no problems with this.

In the interest of designing websites etc etc, how does Chrome compare to other browsers with CSS files etc etc. Like IE is a pain in the butt with what needs to be done for sites to display properly, in Safari the font seems to appear stronger than it would in FF or IE etc etc. What are the physical differences and has there been any obvious visual issues in Chrome that people have noticed so far?

I haven't noticed too much of a difference from FF in the way chrome displays web pages - they're quite similar in that respect ... I'll design a few simple CSS web pages and see how they work :)

Edit: The only difference I've found so far from FF is that Chrome doesn't like the Ozzu breadcrumbs up the top there ... Looks like what happens when the text gets too small to display correctly, indeed when I press Ctrl + in Chrome it increases and renders correctly, but eveything else becomes too large.

imho, chrome is still better than opera >.< (yuck).

There seems to be a whole pile of problems with CHROME and security vulnerabilities at the moment. Here is one of them:

http://www.securityfocus.com/archive/1/496042

Type in "Google Chrome Vulnerability" into Google.com for a full idea of just how many there appears to be.

Remember, it is a beta release! Maybe better to leave it until a major update has been made?

I would hope not, it's using Webkit, which is Safaris' rendering engine.:)

So far IE seems to be the only one that's lost marketshare to Chrome.

It's been what, a week or two ?
Chrome already has 0.7% of the market share.
