google dance

7 of the 9 datacenters now have the new google results. It really does appear they are going all the way with this one. I did notice one thing though. The number of pages of my sites (and other sites), actually vary from datacenter to datacenter, and the number "seems" to be slowly increasing as if they are slowly adding back in the pages that were deepcrawled last month. I am not absolutely sure yet what is going on, but I am monitoring that.

I have also heard rumors that this dance is different than normal, and that is in fact what they are doing, adding in the new content slowly, making this dance last much much longer, and supposedly this dance is not near complete.

However again 7 of the 9 datacenters have the new data at the moment, so I am not sure, to me it looks pretty complete, and I expect it to be 9 of 9 datacenters having the new data within a few days (at the rate its been going). Once it is at 9 of 9 datacenters, the "dancing" results should no longer really exist, since all the datacenters have the same data.

the PR of one of my sites changed back to 3... not good...

now it shows were back to 661, 617, 617.... as i type this anyways.

9/9 data centers are changed now. They seem to all have the new index. Not sure what will happen now. The dance may be over if they do not do anymore. However I have heard rumors they might do more, such as add backlinks in, and apply spam filters now. We will see.

bummer... one of my sites, well my new one didnt get listed and my others stayed at the same rank... i guess whats sickening about it, I did alot of SEO last month to improve...

it's definitely not an exact science, that's for sure. It's like playing a game
that you rarely win, but you just keep playing and trying to find a way.

well, looks like the dancing has ended and one of my sites moved back to a PR4, the other stayed at PR4 and my newest one didnt get listed...

Well from what I hear things aren't over yet, as this is a really odd dance. Yes its true that the "dancing" part seems to be over as all the datacenters now have about the same index. However over time now many things are going to happen. They are slowly supposed to be introducing spam filters which might make rankings fluctuate some, and they are slowly going to be introducing more data and backlink data into the index, which could affect PR and rankings.

Now none of this is guranteed, this is just alot of what I have heard and we will see if that happens.

It seems that the "Google Dance" has begun. The http://www-fi.google.com server is showing 799,000 backlinks to Yahoo.com instead of the previous 617,000!

Yup I just saw that! You beat me to ozzu to post it haha. My link backs on my sites have gone from about 20-30 to 500-600. I am really excited!

so far mine has doubled!

from 3-6!! hehe

Way to go man, just keep doubling every dance and you will be sitting pretty after a few dances

How do u check links back ?

In google type:

link:www.yoursite.com

and it will show exactly what sites are linking back to you that are PR 4 and above. Also check out this post I have already made much earlier which explains that and many other tricks:
