Hi all

Firstly the other day i noticed that the great googlebot was at my site for pretty much all of the day and indexed 140 odd pages and since then my unique hits per day have gone from 80 -90 too 300+

Would this have anything to do with the deep crawl?

and also at the same time my forum members jumped from 49 - 65 over night.

btw my site is only a month and 11 days old :D

yes it would have been a deep crawl, I noticed it also - over 4000+ pages hit by googlebot for us.

is 300+ unique hits good for a site so young?

I am getting close to 1000 and I have been indexed roughly the same time. It all depends on the backlinks in googles cache and how many they are actually counting towards your SERPS. Google ie knows of almost 10,000 links for my site in its cache however it only reports 14 links in the link: command. Now if your curious of what links your most likely going to be credited with more within the end of the next deep crawl
type this in the google search bar, " link:[your link here] , and type it in with just http and www for combinations of what they have in their cache.

A backlink update I estimate to be completed within the next 2 days if not tommoro. Again I am just guessing here not like I know googleguy or anything just saying most likely.

What I think you should be most concerned with is your Anchor text, and if you attempt to use the method I said earlier google usually goes with a sample of those links ie www."yoursite".com

Cheers, 8)

i already know that i currently have 4 backlinks in google and when i say 300 unique i mean a day.

since the last backlink update i have got loads more backlinks and stuff but it just a case of waiting for google to update.

its when Googlebot goes a lil crazy, see's the red mist and decides its going to crawl every last single little page it can find.....

i.e - googlebot crawls your whole site instead of just a few pages here and there.

It's usually followed by an update of some kind - be it backlinks, rankings or heaven forbid PR.

Hasn't been long since the last backlink update. Don't think they'll be one yet.

But then I don't know what Google are up to, they may suprise me.

Aquire backlinks via " Cheating "

You may find piles or these site selling text links on Pr " whatever " sites and you may be tempted to buy them and then they only keep them for a month or so... blah blah blah google adding [quality]links[/quality] and you will find that theirs a better way.

considering spending at least say 200 bucks on your sites future and purchase keywords in " context only " advertising with overture. Ok now pay the minimum you can to get your link out their concentrating on the keywords you use in your add.

The idea is not to get traffic ! I know it sounds funny but this is the goal, have a add on high ranked pages that know ones interested in clicking but your add stays their for a prolonged lenght of time allowing them to be indexed by google and then counted as a backlink towards your site. Yahoo only places your ads on sites that have high traffic most of the time this means high pagerank and if you have the correct anchor text and good content in your comment in your add you will get it as a backlink towards your site. In this way you can pick up PR7 links PR6 links etc like crazy.

Remember the idea is to pay the most for your placement but not to incourage clicks yet help the anchor of your text links. With this method I picked up 900 links in google right now. When google drops them who knows but like I say the longer their out their the better. bunny...... bump... bunny....

cheers,
