Google keyword tool is good if you want to go for a free tool. For a paid one Word Tracker (it also provides free trial) is good.

Select keywords that have less competition and more search volumes. Avoid using single generic words. Most preferred way is to use a combination of two-three words as a key phrase. You can also go for region specific keywords if you want traffic from a specific region only.

Ok guys, thanks for all your helpful advices! I also think that there is a scence to take into account cities and countries when making keyword research for a website! People often add them to their search engine requests!

There are a lot of SEO tools that aids in keyword research. Consider keywords that have a high daily word searches and low competition. The higher the Keyword Effectiveness Index or KEI, the better.
