not really sure how they update their location. It would be sweet if it's automatic using some type of GPS and then geocoded the nearest address and then updated the GUI. There's obviously someway to give it semi-real time location that the user would have to hard code in. If it's just marking your friend's home address on the map then that's kinda dumb cause I think most people would know where their friends live or atleast their friend's address they could map it. Do you know how it updates position? How real-time is it?

I'm sure privacy concerns would prevent this from happening, but imagine standing in line at Mc Donalds and getting an ironicly timely text message from Burger King with a 2-4-1 deal.

now that would be interesting.

I've installed it on my phone and computer but my location in the world sucks for realtime stuff. (not enough towers)

I'm going to be in a major city in 2 days so i'll check out how it works there. It seems like it would be really cool if you had all your friends using it.

example: I'm at the golf course and would like to see where my girlfriend is..... "HEY, WHY IS SHE AT MY BEST FRIENDS HOUSE!!!!!" :P

I think that's why the google people developed it in the first place. The CEO was on the green and couldn't find his best golfing buddy or the wife.
