It's been noticed that over recent months Google is taking up to 2 months to give PageRank to new sites.

Are you also awaring about?

I believe google indexes and ranks sites much quicker than the typical tool such as the firefox toolbar would let on to. I think it's a matter of updating the accessible view of the rank.
I'd love to change the world, but they won't give me the source code.

It all depends when the last Pagerank update was. It only happens 3-4 times per year, so it could take a month, it could take 4 months. Just depends when that site when live compared to when the next PR update is/was.

Page rank of a page depends on how much is the importance of that page and whats the popularity of it.

Popularity can be increased by getting good backlinks to it ... and good unique content offcourse.

If your site is new ... you can directory submission, rss submission, article submission ..i done all this and got more and more links in few months... you can check it out if u wanna see

http://www.americantruckbuyer.com links from articles sites too.

Starting a blog is also a good one to get backlinks and new content too, like :- http://blogs.americantruckbuyer.com
