I recall there being some way of being able to tell where you are placed in the search engine results on google (not page rank). does anyone know where i can find this tool?

http://www.widexl.com/remote.html has a nice selection of free tools, keyword placement in the engines is one of them.

Ya.......that's really a nice tool but does it give accurate results?

Yes, I also prefer manual checking for all things including indexing, back links and positioning in SEs. So, I recommend manual checking to you also.
