I am well aware of the frustration that webmasters experiencing when trying to generate traffic. I mean you can build a pretty site sure, but you really need to generate A LOT of traffic if you want to make the big bucks. Even more important is that you have QUALIFIED TRAFFIC ie traffic from people who have previously demonstrated an interest in your product.

There is a whole industry of "professionals" who will claim to get you top ranking in google, and also claim that this will make you wealthy. Honestly, they may be the only ones profiting from such promises.

I will share with you two other ways which work

1) Viral Marketing - (please note this has nothing to do with viruses). It refers to having a product which can be copied and swapped through the internet. If it promotes your site, your marketing campaigns grows and replicates like a "virus". It may be worth investing in an ebook or software application which promotes your product.

2) Legal Bulk Emailing - But NEVER SPAM. Spam is STUPID because it annoys the receiver and annoyed people dont make for good customers. Spam is also illegal, so spammers are not viable in the long term. But what about people who have indicated an interest in receiving messages about your product area. What if you could reach 30 million internet users like this? What if only a tiny percentage went on to buy something in that month, say 2%. Thats 60, 000 purchases for the month. Even if you only made $2.00 per sale. Thats $120 000 revenue for the month. Now thats the type of revenue that makes being a webmaster worthwile.

Thats my 2 cents, about what I think works. Which ever way you go, all the best
and hang in there

If tjhey dont opt in from your site its then SPAM.. so your saying you dont need people to opt in to your email for them to get mail to come to your site?

No matter how you put it if you sell opt in lists its no longer an opt in list it is indeed SPAM..

Well it may be for you... I guess but ask people who only depend on this type of "advertising" .. Being completely free... what it takes is some decent knowledge and your patience which is worth waiting...

"having a product which can be copied and swapped through the internet" ..aren't these considered affiliate networks and were targeted a while back by google. You would need to assure that you product descriptions would be unique to each site that it's posted on. Otherwise the content will seen be as a dupe and will be discarded from the serps.

Ha ha, nice try. This is a sale pitch for your product.
I still believe that bulk mailing is spam.

How much does it cost to bring that 120,000 in ?

Why would you tell me to "hang in there" ?

I don't trust anyone wearing a better suit than me.

lol.. this thread somehow reminded me on this thread from one of the other webmaster forum:

Quote:
You are Not Safe!

You surf adult related sites...
Many files are stored on your hard drive...
These files show what sites you have visited...
_______ (insert your product here) eliminates them all!

2Admin: Sorry if the message doesn't suit your forum. Kindly ask to move it to an appropriate section. Thank you Wink

Search for "Many files are stored on your hard drive" phrase in google, you'll find 67k search results and most of them are from this spammer.

:) oh and honestly, I'm not in any means to say that this is a spam thread. It just has the similar vibes when you read one. Especially when the replies were repetitive in other forum threads.
