Help! I need to make sure Im doing my SEO work right.

Submission in lots of search engines is just waste of time, submission in Google, Yahoo and MSN is enough. All other SEs have no much traffic.

I would suggest the following:

a) Make your site crawler friendly.
b) Create Sitemaps
c) Submit the sitemaps in Google Webmasters and Yahoo Site Explorer
d) Also specify the URL of your sitemap in Robots.txt for autodiscovery.
e) Instead of submitting your site to all the directories try submitting in DMOZ, Yahoo and a few important Directories and that too carefully and in the most relevant category first.

BTW since you are working on a Mobile site just wanted to know how you are identifying the Mobile Browser limitations like width, height and what all are supported.

Continuous promotion of website through all ethical SEO tactics are helpful in getting and maintaining the good ranking in search engine result pages.

What is your site url? Have you fully optimized it? Do a lot of one way links. Try to build friendships with other webmasters and see if they will give you a link if you can provide something in return.

Squidoo is great. It is a high pr ranking blog and I use it too. Try to create a few high ranking blogs. I use Xanga, Blogger and Livejournal and add content. The more content you add to a blog the higher it will move up on Google.

Sorry to ask.. but what is a mobile site??

Directory submission has suffered a major setback in the past few months.

Moreover, Link exchanges are not effective. Link Exchanges can have negative impact on your SEO rankings.
