I know literally nothing about how Google works other than how to search with it :oops:

Does Google ever read anything inside of the hide from older browser tags ?

Google probably reads them if they inside the bodu tag. I have no evidence though. But google certainly reads contents inside <noscript> tag.

Yes but it assigns a very low importance to them.

I've been wondering why Flash outputs,
Code: [ Select ]
<!-- URL's used in the movie-->
<!-- text used in the movie-->
  1. <!-- URL's used in the movie-->
  2. <!-- text used in the movie-->

in the html when a movie is published.

If one were to clean that output up a little, & duplicate it into a <noscript> tag, could that increase SWF visibility to Google ?

Yeap. That ought to work. <noscript> gets high visibility by google. That's my experience anyway.
