Build links to that site with your keywords as the anchor text in the link. For example you can add this link to your signature in this forum! Also submit to directories with this phrase and url.

Just build as many as back links with that keyword which you want to be in top rankings.

Indeed, building links using the target keyword you want to rank, exchange links with related sites and putting your target keyword as an anchor text!

yep. anchoring the target KW will help.

another 'trick' would be linking to a related site/page that contains that particular KW

Definitely link building is the best way to get high in ranking. Use you keyword as your anchor text.
