I was just wondering, how long will it take google to find all backlinks to a site, and are they added straight away once they are found or do you have to wait for a PR update?

In my experience backlinks are handled in two different ways by Google.

When first found ... anchor text is credited to your site (almost immediately) and is used in determing search ranking. This has been demonstrated when sites become news worthy and move to the top of search rankings overnight.

Backlink updates normally includes links that are 4-5 weeks old. However the backlinks displayed are only a sampling and do not necessarily show ALL links. At least that is the most recent link I have seen for my sites after an update. :)

I AGREE 100% WITH YOU

When we have gained bulk of backlinks Google hold us little bit but when it started to dance it throw us to the top.

P.S. Can anyone recommend somewhere that have the Google Search Statistics based on Keywords ?

Why not register with Google's webalert service, they e-mail when each link is picked up.
