Full time freelancing is a tough job I think. It's better to stay with a company.

I work as a SEO expert for my own sites. I don't understand how do these SEO people work in companies, I mean, if they have good SEO knowledge, why don't they work for their own sites and make more money than they get in a company as salary?

Or are these SEO experts don't know much about SEO but dedicate their lives to directory submissions and social bookmarking submissions (Link Building)?

The reason is that there is alot more to running a business than being a seo. Just because you doing great seo doesn't mean your going to be a great business owner.

You can't just do seo on a site and then make millions. There is a lot more to it owning and running a business...pricing, customer service, the market and others.

and if you can tell how much do you earn working as an SEO for company and also for yourself.

I am considering starting an SEO Consulting company. I am curious about the answer to Stephen186's questions.

I provide SEO and Marketing services globally from my house on a river in Colorado :) As you can imagine, I wouldn't have it any other way.
