G'day.

First question:

Please, have I got it right about Trellian Keyword Discovery and Overture?

1) Trellian gives results for the total number of searches from the past 12 months. I don't know what SEs that's on. The exception is the Overture results that Trellian gives.

2) Overture gives results for the past one month from the Overture SE. You multiply this figure by 8 to get the approximate Google figure.

When I get this sorted out I'll ask further.

Thnx

Sorry, but why don't you try - Google keywords Tool (https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal). I don't trust on Trellian Discovery and Overture keyword tool.

1/ Keyword Discovery is not for the last 12 months, or so I was told by our rep. It's suppose to be for the last 45 days or so (updated every 45 days). But they recommended not look at specific numbers, but to look at it more as a scale of searches.

2/ I think 8 is way to much, personally I look at about 3-4x for an estimate in Google. It all depends on the industry and keyword though. Big problem is that Overture still shows only January of 2007.

The problem with this tool is that search volumes can't be quantified, they only show the results with a graph... Nevertheless, it's a great tool for keyword suggestion.
