What impact do keywords have in filenames?
I have a database of images where every file is <number_id>.ext
If I change the names into <number_id>-keyw1-keyw2-keyw3.ext what will be the result?

Or if you know an article that discusses about this please tell me.

Yes, keywords can help (especially for images in the Google image search pages). Wouldn't use too many keywords though, just 1-2.

When you do a search the words in the URL are highighted, So it means google does pay attention to them, But i doubt they are seen as any more important than keywords on the page.

But if keywords in the URL are highlighted i think people would be more likely to click that link in the search results.

What google do on thier blogger blogs is make the file name the same as the title, Minus stop words, So if google do it on thier own blogs it seems like it would be a good idea to do it on regular sites.
