Hello frnds

i had few dynamic websites, which we are planning to make the url static, for example i had http://www.xyz.co.uk/index.php?pname=Li ... age_id=966 which now i wanted that it should be static one option i had is using mod rewrite or can some body tell me that if the url is like this http://www.xyz.com/50226711/link_exchange,html will this prove to be helpful for search engines to index them as this will be static url.

I guess what i am asking is right i dnt know if technically its right or not but if somebody can understand and help me in this, its very urgent

thanks

Static URLs are easier to crawl and therefore you get more chances to get indexed.
Go with static URLs.

Yeap, static url are SE friendly as these url’s don’t have any logins or session id in it, so SE spiders can crawl freely….
If you are hosted on a Unix server, you can change your dynamic url to static using mod Rewrite and if you are on Windows servers, you would need to change using Isapi Rewrite.
