Anyone experience the same thing? When I search at google.com, and then click on the links result, it will open in a new browser. I thought it is the problem with my browser or computer since I haven't restarted my computer for a few days, but then today when I restarted my computer, it is still the same. Checked for spyware or virus and I found none. I also checked in the Google Toolbar Option but found nothing about this setting.

Thanks in advance.

What browser are you using? Maybe it's a browser option setting??

I know you scanned for scumare, but it sure sounds like a scumware problem. What application(s) did you use to scan for spyware did you use?

I am using Internet Explorer. I don't know if it is a browser setting or not, it does not happen with other search engines, only at google.com.

I scanned by using Ad-aware SE Professional (cracked).

It doesn't seem like a browser option. You might want to try scanning your computer with spybot. Spybot often finds scumware that adaware misses, and vise-versa.

There's an option in google to open search results in a new browser window. Go to http://www.google.com click on the preferences link next to the search button. Scroll to the bottom of the preferences page and see if your box is checked. Uncheck it and click save....you can also get rid of the google preferences by dumping your cookies in IE.

thanks, phaugh. That is exactly what I needed. Thanks too, harryhood.

I was afraid that I was infected by virus, but it seems that I was worried too much. :D
