Post 3+ Months Ago

For the longest time I wondered what it was like to be on top of Google search results that had tens-of-millions of results, instead of results in the area of 1-2M.

Well today I got a taste of what it's like with my year and a half old blog, and it's not always as sweet as I thought.

I decided to take a look at the Top Search Queries of my blog using Google Webmaster tools. I was ecstatic when I saw some of my pages on the first and second pages of queries with 10-20M results, but I almost soiled myself when I found pages in the #5 and #3 spots for queries with 132M and 155M results respectively.

The thing is that the page pointed to at #3 with 155M results, is smack-dab in the middle of the blogs popular post list.
Now, granted that the #5 page out of 132M results is my #2 most popular post, other than that the majority of my most popular posts are pages pointed to by results that number less than 1M, many lower than 250K, quite a few less than 100K.

It's strange I tell ya!
