Meta keywords are useless, Google pretty much ignors them.

What you need to do to rank well very much depends on the search terms you are targeting, But generally you need lots and lots of useful unique content and lots and lots of related, quality one way backlinks.

Hi,
I agree with meman Meta keywords are not so worked. SE do not use Meta Tags as part of their ranking algorithm. Here is some Tips:-
_ Optimize your site for your target audience, not for the search engines.
_ Research your keyword phrases extensively by using research tools such as Keyword Discovery, Wordtracker, Google AdWords, and Yahoo Search Marketing data.
_Make sure your site is link-worthy means your site is full of wonderful, useful information, other sites will naturally link to it .
_ Provide alternate means of navigating your site as necessary means program your site to be crawler-friendly.
_ Start submit to directories, articales.
Stick on this forum its give you much Info. Gudluck

Hello

thats true ::) google dont consider meta keywords but yahoo still concentrate on meta keywords... so you just cant ignore them...... Way of making your site most efficient in terms of ranking and traffic is quality content, create blog for your website, one way linking, two way linking process with fine stuff on it...... I m sure your website will rock::) good luck

Hello, the points you mentioned are considered Onpage optimization techniues and are mostly important in Yahoo and MSN rankings.

In addition to the content and links points that friends have mentioned, please note that you may not see some major ranking improvements on Google for at least several months due to the Sandbox effect.

But exercise the legitimate methods and gradually you will see the positive effects.

Patience is the Key. :D

Hello,

Few quick suggestions. Put together a few article related to you top keyword phrases. Do not start with the really competitive terms start with less competitive terms (utah web design (competitive), utah real estate web design (not so competitive). Once you get ranked for less competitive terms it is easier to move up to the more competitive terms.. Anyway once you have wrote a decent amount of articles turn those articles into RRS feeds, podcasts, Atom feeds etc and use a pinging service to submit the feeds to some databases... OK I think I am done I do not have enough time.. I could go on and on and on..

Like I am sure you have read in many places, if you create good content that users who are interested in the market you are targeting is interested in and will send a buddy to, book mark or reference somewhere else you will be good to go. Some of the most successful sites ever made did just that. they knew nothing about SEO. ;)

So...after good SEO...get more and more quality backlinks from relevant sites. This should be done in a systematic way. Participate in forums, submit your site to directories...and lots of work.
