I did a search for my site earlier and and looked at the cached page. The cached copy had all of the pages I recently added. The results were higher and everything. I just did the same search and the cached version is from like two weeks ago? Why does google do this. my results are lower and I dont get it?

Any advice or insight?

Different data centers....try using the ip address instead of google.com this way you can control what reults you see....this data center seems to have updated info: http://66.102.9.99

Google just seems to operate like this.

They have 13 or 14 data centers with their own unique copy of the index. Google creates a new version of its index and populates the data centres, which leads to changes and the impression of "dance"

Sometimes google rolls back the index if it doesn't like the results on its test search, which is why the cache results sometimes seem to revert to older versions.

I have load of Search engine articleson my site if your interested in this sort of thing.
