I'm just starting to offer SEO to my design clients, I was wondering how many of you get leads from your website vs. your past clients and referrals.

I realize this is a competitive question, but there are allot new biz out there :)

We get many referrals from clients that are larger companies. Most of our larger clients have given us at least 2 or 3 referrals each. We also get a ton from online traffic. You just need to get your ranking up there. If your a web design/development company starting to offer SEO services, I would create a page or category on your site and try to first gain positioning in your local area.

All of our work now comes from referrals, I think when beginning though your web site is your greatest asset.
