Page rank on all my sites went down today

I do not exchange links yet my page rank on all of my sites when down one point today. I have heard that lots of sites lost rank as well. OTOH, I've seen a few that went up. Were these penalties or an adjustment or does anyone actually know?

The only thing I did differently is that I'm moving a one-page site and right now it is propagating, so it's not online. I'm linked to it on all of my sites.

Any thoughts?

From what I read on forums, a lot of people's PR dropped.

I had two websites that went up.

My client's website is rather strange though. His home page went from PR2 to PR3, but some of his inner pages have PR4 and PR5 with minimal backlinks - if any at all.

I am not sure what to make of it yet.

why does backlinks aren't updated. i can't check my backlinks but the pr is there

PR was already updated. All of my site is now PR3 from unranked.

Well.........last week people have seen a great fluctuation in their page ranks some sites PR increased some sites PR dereased because of page rank updates by google. It looks Google was to strict in terms of paid links and relevancy factor this time as i feel but only google knows the exact reason behind increasing or decreasing PR of sites.

Google Page rank and backlinks updated last week. The result for our site is quite good and the inner pages have page rank also. You are right, Google was strict in selling paid links that might cause penalization of the site especially directories. Do google filter all the site that selling paid links?
