I think a lot of people noticed a drop in Pagerank this last update. It is just Google recalculating their algo...I wouldn't worry about it, just focus on positioning.

You are correct, but the way that is measured changes all the time. About 2 years ago all my clients, and 100's of others saw big PR increases during a PR update...I had tons of 6's and 7's...and since then most of my sites and other people's I have talked to have slowly went down...but guess what...all my site's positioning has gone way up since then as well...so again...don't worry about PR...focus on positioning.

To increase page rank you need to start theme based one way link building.

You can still maintain your rankings by continuous link building. Even if your PR dropped don't lose hope. You can still rank well as long as you use your targeted keywords as anchor text and get links from quality sites.

You need to maintain your site regular and do link builing both ways one way and link exchange. You should need to make you site content topic related and unique.

Don't worry, PR will not effect your rankings. You just have to need more and more relevant links.

Like vetofunk said, as long as you still maintain competitive positioning keep doing what you are doing. I wouldn't slow down or speed up off-site optimization, just make sure to stay one step ahead of your competition.

I think you should concentrate more on keywords rankings and visibility of website in top result pages of search engine rather worrying about PR.

Exactly totally agree with you Himalayan, PR is just a google thing, the more important thing is ranking which all we require.

I'm new to the PR side of Google. Any advice to begin the building process?

I just have a tiny site that hires out jumping castles.

Cheers!

The main point to evaluate on a regular basis, in my opinion could be like checking the rankings and search engine positions rather than PR value because it might mean nothing.
