Hello!

I have few questions:
If i have a new website with PR0, and i get one becklink to my website from a PR5 website, what will my page rank be?
And how much time is needed for the page rank change to happen?
Does it matters if the website languages are not the same?

Thank you all who answers! This is really important to me?

I think u can do submission of your website to directories, Rss submission, Se submission , forum posting with your signature...

Do this and u will gain more backlinks...and from that u will get good PR too.

But yeah there should be quality content available for the visitors in your website..

If you buy links from higher PR sites, it could be helpful.

One backlink is not enough. Get more backlinks to your site than just one. The more backlinks on quality sites the more important your site will look to the major search engines.

Also it may be time consuming, it will be worth it in the end.

It is a big mistake and a myth to believe that all that a site needs is a single link from a PR_ (1, 2, 3,......) to get the PR of the site that links to yours.

If that is the case, then i would have linked once to my PR0 sites with my PR 6 site to acquire the PR 6 that i want...and everyone will be doing it since it is by far the easiest way i've heard to gain PR.

I've read this myth in another forum,,,,, please don't believe it. You need as much as a hundred or thousand links or even more to gain the respect of search engines.

For improving PR you need to have loads of backlinks,
try to get high PR backlinks from relevant sites, such links will add more benefit for your ranking as this links would be considered as natural by google, rendering you PR more faster .

As my friends said, one backlink from any qualifeid site is nothing. if you make a resource on google like "link: sitename.com" you will see how good sites have much backlinks. Also before you start working for seo, you should post very eunique contents into your website. than start having a submission software ( article submission or directory submission software ) or do it yourself manually, google it "Powered by: PHP Link Directory" than start submitting your sites :p. othwise just one link is nothing.
