please Help me.I got this message from a backlink checker site!

Suspect PR - Be Careful!
Not Found in Google Cache!

I usually check the backlink count of our company's website from http://www.smartpagerank.com/
But, from a week ago, the above message has been shown in the site,
and the counts of backlinks and indexed pages of Google became zero, but not of Yahoo, AltaVista, or AllTheWeb.

What I have done is just making backlinks.
Did i get a penalty from Google?

Please help me..

Here's what I use to check back links:

www[dot]backlinkwatch[dot]com/

Use this for real number- link:www.yourwebsite.com in Google.

So what do you recommend? How that is possible to make sure that PR is not fake. I suppose that is very important when you buy links

Use link:www.xyz.com to check backlinks in your site and try every method to build backlinks for your site such as directory submission, forum posting, blog commenting and social bookmarking.
