Putting your company name in the title?

Personally ....

I think if your company or site name includes important keywords than it should be in the title. But only if it contains keywords relevant to that page.

The position should also depend on the weight you give those key words.
It could be at the beginning if extremely relevant, (Red Widgets Inc .. widgets for everyone). Or it could be at the end if only some what relevant, (Boxes for widgets ... by Red Widgets Inc).

Otherwise save the characters for keywords or attention grabbing headlines in the search results.
