Question and Answer Sites like Yahoo! answers can really helpful in gaining more visitors and sometimes online sales / leads through your answers and suggestions. That's my experience.

My client's have got a lot from Yahoo! answers.

I've been in Yahoo answers for almost 4 years, but
not continues participating in the site. hehe =P
Anyway I like that answer community site. Not only
I generate traffic from it, but also I manage to learn
things from it.. different visions.

Yahoo answers is a joke. I go there when I want a good laugh. Most of the people that both ask and answer are brain dead, and obviously predominantly kids.

I can understand ATNO/TW...most of the question can gives laugh but good source of traffic as well.

Sorry mit, i do not agree that yahoo answers can give any good conversion in terms of sale.

you can surely get a rush of traffic from there, but conversion are really very poor. that's my experience.

Social conversation, Social interactive can deliver a good result on your site.. It may never consider as spam because of the interaction with other member.

yahoo ask and answers has it effective use for search engines to crawl and index your site,i had posted a answer at yahoo for my new site,and google indexed a mass of my pages in one day,do you think its only a joke for kids?

conversion is not always everything, traffic should also be there in priority.

Yes, Yahoo answers is good source of generating more traffic for the website but this is also a resource like social bookmarking websites and somehow give leads through it.

Hi,

I have also noticed that pages are ranking well in SERP but you need to go frequently on yahoo answer and answer the question with proper resource link to promote your website.

I too believe that a lot of traffic comes from Yahoo Answers, but are they truly quality traffic?

One of the advantage of yahoo answers is that they are fastly indexed by google, and also give provide traffic towards your site.
