Quickest way to get traffic

There are a lot of ways to get traffic for a website like link exchange, directory submission, article submission, RSS submission, Press release submission etc. I want to know your views about what are the best ways to get quick and a lot of traffic to a website or waht are the most effective way to increase number of visitors to your site.

I have added a blog to our website last month and updat that daily we are hoping this brings more traffic to our site. We are currently working on content and keywords.

If you have a quality content on your website, then it will automatically start to receive backlinks from other websites.

One should always concentrate on making his/her website useful for the visitors. RSS promotion can really help you, if you have plenty of useful content on your blog. So make sure to update your blog with fresh and useful content on regular basis.

And if you looking for free so promote your site with bookmark your site on bookmarking site,submit link in the directory.

i agree with Antonyx that you should go for PPC if you are really in a hurry. Of course you need to spend more but if your nature of business is seasonal it would work the best.
But this service is expensive and for a short period of time, if you really need a continuous flowing traffic for your site, then stake for SEO, it would take time to show results but would give your site everything it require...

Well Traffic is no doubt all what a webmaster would see. Effective SEO would really play an important role.

Being member of a forum & posting some good replies to relevant topics is the one way after that as one has the signature in the bottom line hence chances are great to be top having the page rank of other good site.

The worst thing about PPC is that quite often you can't know for sure how much it will cost you.
Normally I reacommend PPC when someone's at the beginning of an SEO campaign - only as a temporary solution.

PPC should really be a temporary thing. You will go through your money way to quickly if you focus primarily on ppc.

When Ozzu was first started we used PPC with Google Adwords for a few months. That helped bring an initial member base to work with. From there Ozzu grew via referrals, and search engine traffic.

Starting with PPC worked well for us, it was a quick way to get targetted traffic that helped ozzu get a jump start with participating members. Eventually we transitioned more to focussing on SEO for our long term efforts.

Right..If you have any budget for your promotion, do invest in Google PPC.. You can atleast try it for a small time if it is working for you..

The other good way is learning the ways for SEO.. Try to learn all the things in the world of SEO through google searches, forums like ozzu and others..

Put good content having nice keywords in which you want your site on search engine.. create blog for you site, do submit articles regularly and and submit RSS of you blog... link exchange, article submmision and other tricks of SEO will defenately help you..
