I have a site that has been up and running for approx 3 years but has recently been re-vamped and I have started SEO. The site was not in the first 10 pages before I started doing SEO. I have been optimizing the site since November with excellent results, I reached no.1 for several keywords and for all keywords managed to get page 1 to page 3 rankings. Then at the start of March, I was dropped for several keywords, last week they were back up and today they have been dropped again. I know that I have not been spamming and my rankings are increasing in every other major search engine.

Has anyone else had similar problems?

The serp's are constantly changing. Make sure you keep adding back links. Your competition is make sure you are.
If you are standing still, then you are moving backwards in the seo world.

The search engines are a constant changing landscape.
One day you're up and the next day you are down.

Luckily my sites keywords stay constant in their positions.

It generally happens in rankings. Just try to get more and more relevant back links for your site.

SEO is continuous process and if you stop it after getting top position then competitor's have a better chance to outrank you.......looks same in your case, competitors have really done well.....now is your turn....

Indeed, there are many SEO that are also trying to be on the SERP but only the best are choosen or at the top so if you will stop after you reached the SERP there is a possibility that they might outrun your achievement! So just continue and do your best!

Changing in SERP is natural sometimes your KWs was on top and the other day it was gone...It means that your KWs is dancing...Anyway just continue building quality links to stay on top and be stable...

I noticed the hackrsafe.com website's rank dropped to 4. They used to be a seven? Imagine that? I was going to sign up just for their link

Well.......a little up and down in ranking is natural and happenes frequently......but if ranks dropped a lot then it means there's something wrong with your site..........

only worry when it happen for more than three months. just continue building link and put more content. just rely on the search engine at this time. if you are thinking too much of losing ranking sometime you will lose focus on getting works done.

if you are targeting a very competitive keyword, chances are high for a regular 'dance' in rankings.. the best way to get rid of it is to maximize your effort in link building with quality sites
