Site Dropped out of google index

Hi guys, appreciate this if I get any verification on this.

one of my sites was google indexed for a few months.

no PR at all for those past few months,
Recently (few weeks ago) i started getting some backlinks for the site.

Last sunday, it was indexed no more..

What is happening? I am guessing that it is google reacting weird to the site's new PR changes. any verification on this?

I have found that my site http://www.simplysearch4it.com was getting crawled by Google every few days, but during that last month and so far this month it has only been visited by Google twice, and then that could be the Adsense robots.

My site is still listed wthin Google, but the good rankings that I have with many different keywords are starting to go.

Sometimes this happens to some of my pages and sometimes sites. I would just be patient and wait things out.

hope it is nothing major (ie. site penalised for whatever reason ...)

I was getting about 30% of my traffic from Google, so once I found this out I went straight to Google and asked them if my site may be penilized.

They then emailed me and said that this happens to sites. The index is changing all the time and sites could get crawled many of times for a few months in a row and then not once for the next month.
