Google's index of my website is 3 months Old. When I see its cache, it shows
"This is G o o g l e's cache of http://www.akswebsolutions.com/ as retrieved on 23 Mar 2006 01:02:32 GMT."

When I see the stats through cpanel, the last visit of googlebot is on 22 March.

What may be the reason in such a great delay ? Any ideas on what to do?

It's possible that this has something to do with the recent Google updates. Another possibility is that Googlebot has determined that your content is not being updated. Have you updated your content since March 22?

Either way, I'd suggest that you implement a Google Site Map - this will allow you to direct Googlebot as to how often to crawl your pages, which pages have updated content, etc. :D

I have update the pages regularly. Actually It was just a single page website on 22 Mar and now its about 20 pages.

Thanks about the suggestion of google site maps. I will surely use that.

Google generally takes few days to 3 months for indexing any site. As compared with other search engines google is slow. For fast indexing add sitemap in your site, update content regularly, and submit your site in directories. All these points will help you in indexing your site in google.

You can also submit on-topic articles to the article directories, with a link to your site in the Resource Box. Provided that the directory doesn't have a "no-follow" tag, the SEs will follow the link to your site when they're crawling the article site. :D

Thanks Sam for your reply. But this should not be a problem. Actually My website is my website design portfolio and I have given links to it from all the websites that I have made. and those sites are crawled very frequently.

If you face this problem i will suggest you to change the design of your website and try to remove the unnecessary tags from the Head

also place the description and keywords tags.

I have same problem with one of my website, when i removed the javascript menu from them then we found google started crawling the home paage in 2-3 days and whole site in approx one month.

so my suggestion will be
* do not place javascript menu
* change the design
* place proper meta tags.

hi,

if crawler is not crawling your site directly, try to indexe your site indirctly by participating in diiferent bloggers, forums, article sites, news sites and directories.
