Hey there,

Here is a great article on how PR is calculated:

The formulas basically say the only way to increase PR is by backlinks.

So a better question may be how do you get backlinks?

- Forums
- Blogs
- Press Releases
- Social Bookmarking
- Link Exchanges

You need to make sure your links do not have the nofollow attribute and you need to make sure you use keywords are your anchor text.

-Getting one-way links should be the first priority.
-Exchange links with relevant sites (keep it to a minimum coz too much is isn't good as the Google webmaster guidelines stated.. )
-Find quality sites on the same topic/theme as yours then contribute some insightful comments on their sites
-Forum posting (include your sig)
-Submit your site in directories and choose the right category

1. get quality backlinks with high page rank
2. exchange links to related and high page rank
3. update blog content and must have links to your site
4. submit related article to article submission using your targeted keywords
5. check the page rank of the forums and directories

easy if you have the money. so if you have the money you can follow the ideas given above. but if you don't have much too spend you got to take the hard road with free link building methods such as article submission, blog comments or forum posting.

Get more backlinks from related sites.Add more quality contents.blog posting,forum posting and article submission are also help to increase PR.

I vote more on free once, he..he.. the best thing in life is free I think. SEO needs time but you must spend those time in building quality links and quality content! :lol:

4. update and create fresh content

That's right. Buying link is not good sooner or later google will catch you. Submitting your blog to free directories with PR can solve the problem.

Which do you guys think is better; a blog hosted at the same url as your site? Or creating a seperate blog on a seperate url, and pointing that back toward your site?
