I submitted my site about 4 months ago to web design and development > full service. Still no luck to getting listed. I posted in the forum and they said to check back in 6 months if it is not posted!! This is rediculous.

If i were to submit to a different category such as web design and development > basic service, would I get listed twice and hopefully added sooner?

NO NO NO NO ...

If you submit again you overwrite your original request and drop back to the bottom of the queue.

NEVER submit to DMOZ more than once!!!

Did I emphasize that enough?

What is your site name, and what category did you submit to?

A DMOZ editor may cruise by OZZU sometime in the next six months and decide to look at your site.

But just for the record *I* would like to know.

What up people! I'm new as you all can see. Anyways, its logical that DMOZ takes a load of time listing, that is, if the editor liked the page and approves it for listings, so I wouldn't get too stressed out about getting into DMOZ, I would emphazise more on getting high flow through Google if that's what you are looking for.

It can take up to two years to get listed in DMOZ ... be patient.

This page is active (Last update: 21:00 PT, Thursday, August 5, 2004) so your site will be reviewed ... eventually. :)

Just be patient. This is a pretty large category and each site is reviewed by a human being.

Like the rest of us they have websites, families and lives in the real world.
If you think it is so easy ... Volunteer to Become an Editor.

Try a different category ...

When people become frustrated they all want to volunteer ... and once they approve their own site ... they don't want anything to do with DMOZ.

You can see where they have to be careful ...

I have heard of people volunteering several times before being accepted, don't give up if you really want to help OTHERS.

When did your site get listed?

I was just doing a followup and I see you made it into DMOZ ... without telling us :!:

Hmmm ... do you think it's just a coincidence ...

I don't think this has any relevance to the thread and most certainly won't help anyone, but just thought I would say it anyway:
