Indeed! search engine ranking is always more important than page rank. After all it gives you traffic and if you have enough traffic you will get more business.

Even, If you want a good PR, try to build more back links from good PR web page. And its not an end of PageRank, actually is a new beginning here from Google after making this recent PR update by punishing all the link trade websites and directories.
