Anyone experience with Google adsense. There's a couple of questions I can't find a decent answer for:

1) how much does adsense affect the downloading of your site (i.o.w. does adsense load quickly?

2) Anyone ever made any money out of it? I don't expect to get super rich out of it, but I would like to at least cover my hosting expences (about a $100 p/y)

3) how does google check fraudulent clicks?

4) ********* forgot the 4th one

thanks :P

1. AdSense shouldn't affect your site loading times at all as it comes up in an iframe. Even if Google takes half an hour to load, it's loading inside a separate frame, so the rest of your site will still load up at regular speed :)

2. As far as how much you can earn... Well, it can be a lot or a little. It all depends on the type of site you run (users of some types of sites may be more or less inclined to click on the ads than others) and how many visitors your getting. Some sites don't earn enough to cover their hosting costs, some can earn several grand a month :)

3. How they do it specifically they won't release, and it doesn't surprise me, because it will only lead to people trying to figure out ways around it. That's something they'll never tell :)

AdSense is a good program. Loads pretty fast. Pays well and they do check for fraudulant clicks.

Can anyone tell me if the code one generates can be inserted on other pages on the same site or do I need to sign up for each page?

In the Danish version of AdSense I don't think it is completely clear what is allowed.

I too experience some delays.

Doesn't affect page loading.
Id say the money depends entirely on the topic of your site and the purpose of it. If people are coming to your site looking for a product or service, you'll have a higher click rate.
Once approved you can put the code on any page that meets google TOS.

ABout what MadMonk said about adsense on forums...I'm not sure but I believe that hypothetically it would seem to me that you would get alot of public service ads, right? Cause don't uncrawled pages usually get public service ads?
