I was on Google's page 1, now I'm nowhere.

I made this small website of my Temple photography http://www.ldstemplepictures.net about 2 months ago. I have maybe 10 pictures for sale on there and ever since google indexed my page, I have been ranked number 8 or 9. I have been getting from 6-20 searched a day with google. I havn't gotten any searches since 3am yesterday. I searched for my keywords on google and my page isn't anywhere to be found on there. It's not just my homepage not getting searched, but even my other pages are not being brought up in the searches. I am still in google when I type my address in. The only thing I can think of is my other photography website had some of those Temples on them as well as different photos. Did google think of me as a spammer for this? I also updated my website this weekend with a whole new area for sepia pictures, so it is now twice as big. These are the same photos on the home page, but in sepia.

My Temple website was cached on Nov. 1 and this happened Nov. 6, so that doesn't make any sense to me. The other website with the same pictures on it was cached on Oct. 21. I also found out that someone put my link in their blog, I don't know if that would hurt it? Any feedback would be great, this is really freaking me out. Thank you.

It depends on the type of blog they have your link in. Porn and warez blogs will hurt you.

omg i laughed so hard, that is fukn classic

your site is still cached and in their index so you have just been bumped back. I was reading a post the other day about how google puts you up the top for a month or so when you start to help you out then you get treated like everyone else. It was in this forum somewhere

mybe he/she does, maybe the reason was... google update ranking regularly, it see's difference from before, but dont come to think that gg consider this as a spam.. maybe it's new to se (google).. patience is the best thing you can do and continue your link building.

The joys of search engines fella, you have not been completly removed from the index so your site is not banned you simpley will have to work on your site in terms of SEO.

Make sure you have optimized your pages well and get as many relevant backlinks as possiable the better quality the better.

hmm google is very mysterious, I would double check for duplicate content and try to make individual pages as unique as possible and if everything checks out just keep building links for now

Give it a few days, your site will get back to its normal position. This is normal with new sites.

This happened to my site. Our site is just under 2 years old. I almost rank 1st and 2nd position with google on my top 20 keywords. I did this with offsite optimization. Have you submitted any articles? Have you been building links? I have noticed with my site, whenever I submitt an article to 30 directories, 2 days later I drop from 3rd and 4th to 8th and 10th for a keyword. This usually lasts for 3 weeks. IMO, when you add many inbound links in a short period of time, this is a red flag to google. Google will investigate it and this hurts your rankings for a about 20 days. After your links are deemed as being quality and not artificial, then you will see yourself improve positioning for that keyword or stay where your at. Whenever my keywords jump around without my link building (not taking into consideration google updates), I know it's my competitors that are linking building. This motivates me to do more offsite optimization.

New sites usually appear among the top results ...

i agree with stevekr ... work on link building

sooner or later you will see your website peeping through in the top few pages ... a few more tweaks and you will be on top of the results

... good luck. :-)

I encounter that one...my primary keywords rank in the first page of google however after a week it suddenly disappear in the to 100 site...they said that I only encounter a dancing keyword...so it wasn't stable right? but I wonder I did all the things to promote my keywords like directory deep link and others...still give a negative effect...
