Thanks for the tips.

Say, Clare, how long does it typically take to get listed in your directories?

thats a bad way to look at web sites!! you dont submit to
directories with lower than PR5? - hahaha. you are just hungry for PR....

I am pretty sure that there are sites with PR0 and offering good quality stuffs. As well as new sites.

my company site is newly made- a few days old. Has a Pr 0 as well. we have also made our own list of directories cuz we are tired of other sites who dont update their list of directories regularly.

best of all, I like it

No, just I have no too much time. That's why I choose the most popular directories and PR is an indicator. If I'll submit my site to all directories I must spend 1 month: that's impossible to me. My main job is a webdesign, bestcatalog.net - is a hobby :)

Cheers,
Nat

Thanks for the tip, madmonk. It looks like you have both directories and search engines mixed together. Have you ever thought about listing the directories separately?

not really. If google takes away the importance of linking in sites with PR, all these directories will be flushed down the drain..

until then, directories require some paid advertisements to be popular and established. anyways there are too many new directories about. so what are your chances? :D

Very little money in directories at the minute due to the volume of them.
