Is it worth keeping Google Maps on a site?

I have recently added Google map on my home page and various other pages thinking that it will increase the credibility of my website(from user point of view), but only one JS file is about 51 KB, which increases my total page size and obviously effects the load time of my website.

What do you suggest should I continue with this or remove Google maps?

Are you talking about XML site map or any thing else.. Why you mention JS file here
