I am an editor in a few categories.

Advice:

1/ Submit to a very relevant category
2/ Check to see if there is an editor listed, faster if there is
3/ Check to see the last time the category was updated. If not in like 2 years, than a good chance you will be waiting awhile.
4/ Don't submit "spammy" sites, keyword stuff or use marketing language in your description.
5/ Don't submit deep rooted links, only your homepage.
6/ Make sure your whole site works and nothing is under construction.

Remember the DMOZ had a big server melt down at the end of last year and thousands of submissions were lost.

Sorry, it's not. There are thousands of categories and the chances of finding someone that edit's your's is very little.

1.Make a perfect category match to submit DMOZ.
2.Short information oriented description
3.Non Spammy title
4.site domain email ID should be used
4.Do not submit twice.
