Anyone here OWN a search engine or directory?

i just started this directory... My plan is soo good i wont even tell you people i think i found a little niche

I own an all-in-one search page. The address is in my sig. My site also includes a directory of my own. It can be accessed through the home page URL or through http://dir.portprophecy.com .

Running a web directory is better than a SE. That's because a directory will have a lot of crawlable pages which will give you search engine traffic, and in the other hand a search engine is very difficult to get traffic as people prefers the big ones(Google, MSN, etc).
I run a directory and a search engine, the results is that the directory recieves 100000 hits per month, the SE gets only 150!

I agree about running a search engine. Why bother? Actually I think there are far too many serach engines and directories.
