I doubt this matters, but I'll ask anyway.

What is the best way to link to different pages within my website from an SEO perspective?

1. I could use the absolute path:
e.g. http://domain.com/path/to/file.php

2. I could use the path relative to the root:
e.g. /path/to/file.php

3. Or I could use the path relative to the current file
e.g. ../path/to/file.php (assuming I am linking from /path2/file.php)
(I don't like this method because if I move my file I'm linking from to another folder, my links don't work anymore)

I usualy use relative to root, but I use http://www.domain.com/ for linking to the main index page of the site, rather than /index.html or /index.php.

I think Google and many other Search Engine Robots are quite intelligent to recognize relative path links.

So it does'nt hardly matters with how you in set your internal links.

Just to remember one thing is that instead of using the index.htm/index.php link to your Home link use "/". This way it ensures that you do not share your link weight between "www.yourdomain.com/" and "www.yourdomain.com/index.htm"

I prefer to use "www.site.com/" then "www.site.com" when seeking IBLs

As far as for Google is concerned its one URL only. In other words http://www.site.com/ and http://www.site.com both are same.

I think there is an advantage to using relative directory links within the pages. You can have double the amount of pages indexed in google. Remember, http://sitename.com and http://www.sitename.com are supposed to be different.
