what do you mean by step number 7? ping other sites?

am familiar with the technical term. I just meant how can "pinging" optimizes your blog? and what is the tools to do such thing?

You have to sign in at http://www.feedburner.com/fb/a/home and follow the steps for pinging and after that you will get some code. Code must be added to your blog source page for proper process.

You can ping blog not just on feedburner but also in pingomatic and autopinger,.
Its a way of telling SE/spiders that you have an updates on your site.
Do this one everytime you make an update

Also when you have an image to your blog, optimized it by using its alt...It helps a lot cause it give a lot of traffic to my blog...
