Hello

I have site

http://myproduct1.mysite.com/myproduct1.htm
http://myproduct2.mysite.com/myproduct2.htm

These pages are however doing badly on search engines. Could this be construed as Spamming?

Use sub domains properly will be ok, but according to “Trust Rank” paper your blatently spamming. If a product is big enough you have multiple unique pages inside a subdomain then its fine.

Its daft SEO because for each product you have its own website and your class C ip count of inbound link is only 1 for each subdomain!!!

If this a SEO company recommendation they are just plain stupid.

just my 2 cents......
use subdomains for real intentions. such as partitioning your website into various themes,
when it becomes too big and popular :-)

I wouldn't repeat the product name twice in the link. Other than that you can make as many subdomains as you want.
