Hello, this is my first post so hello to all! Now to my question.

I own both .com and .net for my domain. I sell html websites on my main domain (.com). We have developed a new line of e-commerce based products but require alot of presentation. I would like to convert my .net domain dedicated to these products. The .net website will have different content, different keywords, different layout, same shopping cart, same server. I will link both .com and .net domains

Do you think Google may see it as a duplicate site, being that I am still selling websites like the .com domain is? Is this bad practice?

Any comments will be appreciated. Thank you very much in advance!

It will only see it as duplicate content if it is duplicate content. If the pages have different content it wont be duplicate content.

If you are going to use different content, different keywords that won't be considered as dup content. Though I am not sure you might need 301 redirect possibly.
