Hi, I find today this article . Even if I have a small website I'd like to get more visits.
I have read the idea described there and it seems to work .
What do you think about this?

Slightly longer answer, it could help somewhat. .

But better of course would be to creata actual real translations in the languages you are trying to reach.

What I mean, do you really want people laughing at you in 20 different languages?..;)

From what I have understood people cannot see the translated pages, but only search engines can. There is a control on the user agent so nobody will laugh 8)

Most of the world at least has some knowledge of English so it really has kinda been the default language for the web. So translating into those two languages seems like it could help. The problem with translating a website, if your site is designed for a global audience, is how many and which languages to add. If you have a nice stats program that lets you know which countries your visitors mostly come from, this could help you decide on languages.
