yes there are a number of scripts you can use

http://www.xav.com/scripts/search/install.html is one, or you could use googles, can't remember the url though

yes, it is very hard ! But i found it very challenging. , daniel, where did you check for your link popularity ? i'm using uptimebot.com, but i feel it is not accurate. Coz, i just register a domain name and when i just check it for fun, the link pupularity is high. I got thousands for it.

Well you could try google.com but that only updates rarely use the link:yoursite.com command to find them
