how important is a dedicated ip address in getting ranked high with search engines..

Do you mean a static IP?
Or dedicated server?

if you have no domain/subdomain name then a static ip would be very important.
If you have a domain name it dosnt make any difference because the domain will get resolved to the current ip address from a dns server.

If you mean a dedicated server i dont think it makes any difference. You wouldnt get ranked higher or lower than any other site just because you share a server..
